The Business Analyst is responsible for investigating and documenting the requirements for CARA products and works with local market teams to understand customer needs and business processes working closely with the Local Product Owner to turn these into user stories. The Business Analyst collects data to quantify the business benefits of features, helping Product Owners prioritise their backlogs.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for capturing, translating and the implementation of business needs (requirements) to acceptable IT solutions
  • Bridge between the business and supporting departments like IT
  • Defining business requirements
  • Analysing and modelling business processes
  • Documenting impact analysis and solution proposals
  • Creation of local personas / use cases, customer journeys and documentation of user stories
  • Own the Requirements Traceability Matrix
  • Run workshops and meet with internal stakeholders and customers to understand their needs
  • Use standard tools and templates to capture functional requirements and develop specifications
  • Map customer journeys
  • Gather information and analyse data from multiple sources
  • Quantify benefits
  • Support the creation of business cases
  • Document business processes
  • Help Product Owners prioritise requirements
  • Accessing stakeholders and data in a timely fashion
  • Translating data from disparate teams into standardised and consistent information for CARA
  • Determining trade-offs between usability and performance needs
